China Village at Canberra National Multicultural Festival

The 2nd China Village at NMF was held in Canberra on 16-18 February 2018. It includes a fascinating outdoor stage and some stalls to showcase the Chinese culture and arts. This is a great opportunity to experience the Chinese music and dance performances, handcraft, calligraphy, paintings, tea ceremony from China and enjoy the gastronomic delights this great culture has to offer.

This year, the China Village invites many performing groups from China including:

  • the Wuhan Peking Opera Company,

  • Sanya Sunbird Performing Arts Troupe,

  • Beijing Golden Sail Junior Orchestra,

  • Overseas Chinese Tea Development Foundation

to perform at the stage jointly with local Chinese communityto display the traditional Chinese culture and artistic style in various forms.
